The new electric Citroen C4 will be known as the ‘e-C4’ and is set to be revealed in full online on 30 June. The launch timeframe suggests sales should commence towards the end of the year, with deliveries happening in the early part of 2021.
Two variants are expected to be offered: a conventional hatchback and a raised-up SUV. The electric C4 will follow the plug-in hybrid Citroen C5 Aircross, which was the first step in a process that will culminate in an entirely electrified Citroen range by 2025.
The company’s Nissan Leaf and Volkswagen ID.3 rival is set to replace both the C4 and C4 Cactus in Citroen’s range. It’ll be available with conventional petrol and diesel power, but there’ll also be an all-electric version.
